WILFRED OSCAR
Wilfred Oscar is a well-presented and practical river and estuary cruiser, ideally suited to both relaxed day outings and comfortable extended stays aboard. With a low draft it is capable of accessing shallow waterways with confidence.
Built in 2002, this fibreglass Challenger Pilot 27 was professionally constructed by Nick Louis of Goolwa Challenger Yachts and remains in very good condition throughout, representing excellent value, particularly when a quality trailer is considered.
The helm area provides comfortable seating for up to five people and features Safe-T Teleflex steering, Garmin depth finder, Navman power and speed gauge, along with full Volvo Penta instrumentation and controls. The cockpit is fully enclosed with marine clears, allowing the boat to be enjoyed in varying weather conditions.
Below deck, the saloon offers a well-designed starboard galley fitted with a two-burner Maxie spirit stove with grill, Samsung microwave, moulded sink and ample storage. Opposite the galley is a five-seater booth-style dining area that converts into a double berth, with additional seating that can also be used as a single bed. Entertainment and communications are covered with a Uniden 80-channel UHF radio and Axis CD stereo.
Forward accommodation consists of a double V-berth, allowing sleeping for up to five people aboard.
The separate GRP bathroom includes a vanity, shower and macerating marine flush toilet, with hot water supplied by a 15-litre IsoTemp electric heat exchanger.
Propulsion is provided by a low-hour, economical Volvo Penta 20 horsepower four-stroke diesel engine with reverse gear drive. The 50-litre fuel tank allows for a practical cruising range.
Onboard electrics include a Powertech 1,000-watt inverter, AGM house battery and solar panel, along with two freshwater bladders, forward access hatch and side entry grab rails.
This vessel is sold with a high-quality all-aluminium trailer fitted with electrically operated hydraulic brakes and new tyres, eliminating ongoing mooring costs and adding significant value.
