Cougar’s off-grid electrical capability is outstanding operating all appliances aboard without the need for shore connections. Powered by a Selectronic SP Pro series 4KW inverter/charger, twenty-four Neuton Gel 600 Ah house batteries (48V), and twelve 180W MC4 solar panels. This system is supported by an Onan 9.5 KVA marine diesel generator with sound shielding and a 400-litre diesel tank. Additional onboard systems include a Rinnai V12 instant gas hot water service, 210 litres of freshwater storage, and EPA-compliant wastewater tanks with 1,680 litres of capacity.
Propulsion is provided by twin Yamaha 80 hp EFI four-stroke outboards (2011–2012) with only 165 hours of use, offering reliable and efficient cruising. A 600-litre fuel tank ensures exceptional range. The engines received their most recent minor service in May 2025.
