AHHH...THE SERENITY

AHHH...THE SERENITY

$180,000.00Price

Is it,  Ahhh…The Serenity,  or How’s the Serenity. This can be your ‘Castle’ as quoted by Darryl Kerrigan, no you’re not dreamin, and it won’t fit in the pool room. This terrific, off-grid adept, mid-size pontoon houseboat offers ample space for the whole family, with comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to eight people.

Well built by Ron Greening and carefully maintained over the years, this vessel has aged exceptionally well and continues to improve with thoughtful upgrades. Featuring a fully sealed fibreglass roof, an excellent bow area, and a large fully covered stern deck ideal for entertaining. The boat also includes sturdy safety hand-railing dog-friendly, side gating access, front pump-out points, near-new Merbau decking, and side cleats, setting the tone for the many attractions on board.

Stepping inside this vessel reveals a spacious open-plan living area. The starboard helm is equipped with Hydrive hydraulic steering, Quicksilver instrumentation and controls, Oricom UHF radio, GME Fuso 320 depth finder and a Pioneer CD stereo. Aft of the helm is a three-seater sofa bed and a six-seater cast iron dining setting, complemented by roof-mounted JVC TV entertainment. Easily maintained vinyl flooring runs throughout, while Rinnai gas heating, evaporative cooling and Daikin reverse-cycle air conditioning provide year-round comfort aboard.

The kitchen is well appointed with ample bench space, drawers and cupboards, and features a large LG inverter fridge/freezer, microwave, and a Chef four-burner stove with grill and oven.

Accommodation includes a queen-size walk-around master bedroom with built-in robes and sliding door access to the deck, along with two bunk rooms offering additional robe storage.

The starboard stern bathroom is fitted with a moulded shower, vanity cupboard and marine flushing toilet. There is also a second marine toilet conveniently located on the stern deck, as well as a small washing machine, making the boat ideal for extended cruising or full-time living.

The newly extended rear deck is fully covered and features a six-person outdoor setting, providing plenty of space to entertain while enjoying magnificent river views. There is also a handy storage room.

A key highlight of this vessel is the October 2023-installed 240-volt off-grid power system, consisting of a Victron Phoenix 1,600-watt inverter, three Nexsys 186Ah house batteries and four 250-watt solar panels. This system runs all onboard appliances without the need for shore power, with the exception of the reverse-cycle air conditioner. Additional features include Rinnai instant gas hot water, a four-burner BBQ, 100-litre freshwater tank, approximately 840 litres of grey water and 720 litres of black water storage, 12-volt and 240-volt river pump systems, and both 12-volt and 240-volt lighting throughout.

Propulsion is provided by twin 2000 Mariner 30hp four-stroke outboards with 2,639 hours of use, last serviced in March 2023. Two 200-litre fuel tanks allow for extended cruising range.

The vessel last underwent an out-of-water insurance risk assessment in March 2022, completed and passed by Bill Leonard Marine Surveyor, during which the pontoons were machine cleaned, recoated with International Marine Intertuf paint and fitted with new anodes. The boat was re-slipped in September 2023 following the installation of a new rear deck, Bondor roof and engine covers, and it holds current electrical and gas compliances.

This is a genuine walk-in, walk-out sale excluding personal items. An alternative mooring will need to be arranged prior to settlement. Inspection will not disappoint, as this vessel presents an exceptional opportunity for a holiday home or live-aboard lifestyle where ‘Ahhh...The Serenity’ can truly be enjoyed.

Expressions of interest are invited, with

Inspections strictly by appointment only.
